Society in 2015

Hello there!

Society today is, to say the least, strange. I wouldn’t perhaps rant about it in a positive way.

I feel like in today’s world, more then ever, society teaches us that we are not perfect, no matter who we are. From the day we are born we are categorized by the way we look and act, we are labelled according to the category we supposedly fit into. It is almost as if we are robots trained to dress, act and look a certain way.

Society teaches us to find faults in our self and the beauty in others. Although this may be seen as a good thing, it so important to love our self. we have spent years being educated yet no one has taught us how to love our self and why it is so important. We are constantly wishing we look a certain way, rather then he way we are. Whilst we look into the mirror and hate, others look and wish.

In this world, mental issues are becoming more common than physical ones. think about that for a moment. Physical issues can more or less be treated, whereas Mental ones require not much more then a kinder world. People are beginning to doubt everything about themselves, every little detail and believe they’re not good enough.

Haven’t you had enough?

I have.

That’s why I’m going against society, I don’t want to be defined as a label, I don’t want to fit into a category, I don’t want they way I look to define every detail about me. I want to wear and look how I want without worrying what other people are thinking, people are constantly telling other people to express their opinions but how can they when they will be judged for what other people think about them.

I’m going to live the way I want to because I know life is too short to spend trying to impress other people and fit into categories; as far as we know, we only get one life, so why spend it being unhappy when you could spend it knowing you didn’t waste one minute caring what other people thought of you and ultimately, were happy.

That’s what I want to be, happy.

Then stop believing you are not good enough and realise that you are who you are before its too late. you are beautiful no matter what. you have the capacity to do what ever you want to in this world, only if you believe in yourself.

Summer Bucket List 2K15

School is nearly over for the summer and I couldn’t be happier!

Lately I’ve been really loving tumblr and pintrest I am constantly inspired to do and try new things, I love the whole vibe

Along the same lines of trying to get the most out of my summer, I’ve created a:  Summer Bucket List 2015

I wrote around 25 things but still left space as I wasn’t sure if I had finished or not. The things I added to the list were made up of reasonably achievable things, such as:

  1. Go to a theme park with my friends
  2. Go swimming in an outdoor pool
  3. Go to the beach and watch the sun set and then watch the stars
  4. Go Pennyboarding with my friends
  5. Go to the big woodland park and take a hike
  6. Have a pool party
  7. Have a BBQ
  8. Work out or go running at least every three days
  9. Bake with my friends
  10. Re decorate my room
  11. Make a music video with my friends
  12. Read a book
  13. Do something for charity
  14. Try something new
  15. Take at least 10 pictures a day
  16. Create a summer playlist
  17. Work on my blog’s instagram
  18. Improve my French
  19. Learn the piano
  20. Become healthier
  21. Make more healthy shakes
  22. Experiment on hairstyles
  23. Have a slumber party with my best friends
  24. Try not to go on the internet too much
  25. Get a summer job

I only have 25 things on my list so far but I’m sure to update it.

A Summer Bucket List is perfect especially if you’re not going on holiday!

Tips for the Bucket List:

  • Don’t go too over the top, make sure the things on your list are achievable
  • Don’t fill your list with things that will empty your wallet, remember the best things in life are free 🙂
  • Try to do some of the things with your friends or other people to make it even more fun
  •  Try to capture every happy moment- you could make a scrap book out of all the pictures?
  • Take a picture of you doing the thing you achieved each time you complete something on your list
  • Have fun with it! don’t make it serious and boring, make sure your having a good time when you do it.

I hope this has inspired you this summer and you will keep busy! However, remember to relax, this is your time to do what you wish, just don’t make the mistake of wasting the days, do something new everyday and live life to the fullest!

Recipe: Healthy Homeade Juice

Hey guys,

So recently, I’ve been trying to be healthier and loose weight sensibly, by choosing my meals more carefully and paying attention to my sugar.

I’ve found that trying to pick meals that are balanced can be quite tricky, and with me being a vegetarian who sometimes eats chicken, but doesn’t eat eggs or fish it can be hard to eat a breakfast including protein. Personally, I’m not a fan of plain old yogurt with a sprinkle of granola, to be honest I find it quite bland and it really doesn’t fill me up.

However, I’ve found out how to make homemade juice, probably the best discovery for me. It takes literally no time to make which makes  it perfect for school days, it fills me up, keeps me going and full of energy, so I’m not falling asleep in first period.

Basic ingredients:

1 Carrot

1 Celery

1 Ripe Apple

1 Ripe Banana

1 handful of green leaves (e.g. kale, spinach, rocket, any will do)

1 cup water (this is optional depending on how thick/thin you want it to be)

Those are your basic ingredients to make a delicious smoothie, if you have more fruit or veg at home, experiment with it and add what you like, it took me a while to experiment and find a recipe I really liked. Don’t add too much to the juice because it will make too much and will start to taste and look a bit  bland due to all the flavour. Also, flaxseed and linseed will give you minerals and vitamins and you don’t even taste them in the shake!

I chop all my ingredients into small chunks about the same size, and put them into a big plastic jug, I then get my hand held blender and blend for about 3 minutes! I then pour into a glass and drink it. (you could use a normal jug type blender too- just keep pulsing it until you get your desired texture)

This shake makes me feel really good because I have had my 5 a day already and I got a well balanced breakfast!

If it were that easy, would i be here now?

Hey Guys,

People often tell me to forgive and forget and that that’s the way to go. But honestly, if it was that easy, I wouldn’t be here today, I would be hanging around people who weren’t good for me, people who are not good to be around.

I find it extremely annoying when I hear or am told to forgive and forget. Honestly if they were in my shoes and I said that to them they would probably slap me right in the face.

Although, they are trying to help you, they are not the right words to say to someone.

Sometimes it’s crazy, the situations you are in and someone tells you to forgive and forget, you just feel like unscrewing their head and checking if they actually have a brain!

However, I believe you can forgive and forget in some situations, especially if it’s something minor like if you accidently budge someone in the corridor.

do we forgive or punish?

Hey Guys,

Forgiveness- it means the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.

Punishment- it means the infliction or imposition of a penalty as retribution for an offence.

It really depends on the reason. For example: someone stole your rubber, however they later returned it to you, as they felt guilty, but when you took a closer look on your rubber, there were pen marks on it that were not present before hand. What do you do? Do you punish them for stealing and vandalising your rubber, and in return you steal theirs? Or do you forgive them because they gave it back to you, and it’s only a few pen marks? Or would you do something else? If so, what?

how to be happy

Sometimes, when you’re upset, it’s hard to know how to be happy or how to take your mind off what’s bothering you. I have some tips that help me when I am upset, I am going to share them with you:

  • Close your eyes, hold your breath and count to ten. This helps a lot for me, if you need to, count for a longer period of time.
  • Listen to music. listening to music helps me a lot, especially if you don’t particularly want to talk to anyone, try to listen to something upbeat, not sad or slow because that can make you even more upset.
  • Don’t isolate yourself. When your upset don’t just block everyone out of your life and hide in your bedroom, try and get out, go for a walk, going for a walk can help a lot because it clears your head.
  • Yoga. Yoga is extremely good for you. It can help to relax a lot. I do yoga when I feel stressed or angry.
  • Exercise. Exercise is scientifically proven to make you happy. It’s worth giving it a try.
  • Think. Think, is what your upset about, is it worth being upset about? will it matter in 10 years?

Realisation can often be seen in a bad way, but when you look at it more positively you will begin to notice it is actually a good thing. For example: you realise you got a really hard question you didn’t think you could do, right, or you realise who someone really is.

These two examples will often be seen as good AND bad, however they are both actually only good. You might be thinking, Finding out who someone really is?! that’s bad because it will make you upset. However, finding out who someone really is, is good because it’s better you find out now then after you’ve brought them expensive gifts for their birthday and given them the answers to your homework or test. When you find out who someone really is, you can breathe, relax. because slowly you can cross peoples names out on a list and find your true friend. By knowing someone is fake, you can eliminate them and you are then one step further to finding a true friend.

Realising things, isn’t a bad thing, its a good thing because you can just stop pretending and be real.

Friends and People will come and go in your life, Everyone will want to take a ride in the limo with you, but what you need is someone who will take the bus with you, when the limo breaks down.

Realise. Real lies. Real eyes.
