How To Loose Weight

Hey Guys,

I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL, THESE TIPS ARE FROM MY OWN EXPERIANCE.

So, it’s a new year and pretty much everyone’s new years resolution is to loose weight, go to the gym or become healthier. However this can be quite hard, especially if you can’t afford a gym membership or if you don’t have a treadmill or other equipment. I am going to give you some tips on how to loose weight, without many resources.

  • Drink lots of water, before and after you eat, drink water because it fills you up so you don’t eat as much.
  • Eat out of a small plate, if you eat out of a large plate you are more likely to try and fill it with food, whereas with a small plate you can easily manage your portion sizes. You can always have more if you want to but you might find you are full up.
  • Stay out of the kitchen, if you are in the kitchen a lot, you will start to get bored and just start snacking.
  • Don’t snack between meals! snacking is the cause for most peoples weight gain.
  • Keep yourself occupied. Keep yourself busy so you’re not thinking about how long it was since you ate your last meal or so you’re not thinking about what you’re going to have for lunch or dinner.
  • Go for a walk. Going for a walk is a nice way to burn some calories, you get fresh air and you can clear your head.
  • Avoid your car. When you can, try to avoid taking your car, try to walk, run, jog or cycle to your destination. You can save fuel and burn calories at the same time! Everybody wins!
  • Cycle. If you have a bike, use it! don’t let it sit in your garage and leave it to rot!
  • Go Running. set yourself achievable goals and try to exceed them, for example, ‘I’m going to run to that lamppost’ keeps running and pasts lamppost (her goal) and runs to lamppost after that. Try to run further as you keep running, build up your speed and you will be able to run longer distances in shorter times.
  • Prepare Meals ahead of time. if you are a busy person with work or school, try to prepare your lunch (or breakfast – if you can ) the night before instead of in the morning.
  • Always Eat Breakfast. If you skip breakfast, you can slow down your metabolism and you could put on weight. It is extremely important you don’t skip breakfast. Always make time for some.
  • Join a Club. If you are at school, take advantage of the extra curricular clubs and try to go to them at lunch or after school, it’s a great way to meet new people, friends and to have fun doing it. If you don’t go to school, look out for flyers or leaflets that advertise things in your local gym, e.g. the other day a leaflet came round saying there was a fitness course at the local gym for FREE for girls to help them loose weight and gain confidence. They are really worth attending, especially if you can’t afford a gym membership or exercise equipment at home.

I hope these tips help you if you want to loose weight or get back into shape. Like I said, I am not a professional, these are just tips I am simply sharing that helped me.

Good Luck! x

My Top 10 Winter Must-Have’s

So it’s getting a lot colder now and there are some things in the winter that I just can’t do without! These items in my top ten are items I can not live without in the winter!

  1.  A Beanie. When its cold outside and you just want to be all cosy and snuggled up, a beanie is the way to go, for me. It keeps my ears and head warm and they look super cute! The fashion now, is to wear a beanie that has a big bobble.
  2. A Berry Coloured Lip Balm. It’s always important to keep you lips moisturised so they don’t get chapped, when it’s cold, your lips tend to get quite chapped so its important to apply some Vaseline or lip balm, I like to use a lightly tinted one for a lovely look.
  3. Hand warmer. For me, at winter time a hand warmer is essential, especially when I don’t wear gloves, or forget them, a hand warmer really comes in handy.
  4. Oversized Hoodie/Jumper. At winter time, oversized things become my new best friend! They are just so cosy and comfortable; you can wear them when your lounging around or when your outside walking to the local shops to pick up some milk.
  5. Fluffy Socks. Fluffy socks are a must have for me in winter, they are just SUPER comfortable and great for any day, really!
  6. A Thermos. I pretty much always have a thermos on me whenever I am out and it’s cold, it is so much cheaper then having to buy coffe/tea/hot chocolate everytime your out because it’s cold. I like to take green tea or hot chocolate!
  7. Touch Screen Gloves. When its cold and your going out to meet your friend/s, it is really handy to have touch screen gloves that enable you to be able to go on your phone without feeling like your fingers are going to fall off from the cold, your hands stay warm and you still get to text your friends!
  8.  Boots. I love to have a pair of fluffy boots like UGG’s especially when its cold because you feel extra cosy and boots are really easy to put on, no one wants to be fiddling around with shoe laces in -10 degrees!
  9. A Camera. You might be thinking, a camera?! But yes. Outside when your walking to school or to meet your friends, if it’s especially cold, everything will be frosted up and that makes a really good photo, I love taking photos (I love photos mainly because they never change, even when the people in them do.)
  10. A Snood. A snood or a cotton scarf is the cosiest thing ever! I am so used to picking up my scarf when its cold, sometimes I don’t realise I’m doing it!

I hope you liked my top 10, this is just what I would normally have or wear ❤

What would be in your top ten? I would love to know!

Trust

Hey Guys,

So. Trust. It can be a complicated thing, it either is or isn’t, like you either like marmite or not. Personally, I have trust issues, mainly with my friends. Someone once said, The worst thing about betrayal, is that it never comes from your enemies but from in fact the people that are closest to you. Right now, I’m sort of having trouble with what was my best friend, sadly we are just friends now. Out of my circle of friends, I’m finding it hard to choose someone to trust, someone I can just tell  things, anything, someone who understand me and can relate to me. I think it’s important we all have someone in our lives that we can trust because it is really not good to just bottle things up, however, it is much easier said then done, trust me, I know this. But there is always one person you can always trust, besides family, is yourself. You will go places if you believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, you will not achieve as highly as you might have wished. you should be strong, but being strong doesn’t mean sucking up every sad or bad thing that happens to you, that will not help, if you are sad, let it out, it is the healthiest thing to do. You should try not to be dependent on other people, try to be independent, but don’t block people out, especially if they are trying to help you. It can be hard though, to decide who to tell, to trust when you have a problem, the last thing you want is for your problems to be known by every single person at school, I believe it is really important you find someone that you trust, but don’t open up to them before knowing them really well and before they open up to you! If you bottle things up, and if it really bothers you, people, like family will often say, ‘tell me why your upset’ or ‘what’s happened?’ although they are obviously just trying to help you, it is really not that easy sometimes as it could be too complicated to explain or your just worried they think its something petty and stupid to be worried about, an alternative to bottling things up, is maybe a counsellor? people get them more then you think, they are proven to be quite effective, I like the idea of a trained doctor ( you could think of it like a stranger) listening to you because they can’t and won’t judge you they are just there to listen and they can give advise, only if you want them to. Another alternative is to maybe start a blog, its not like social media, like twitter or instagram because your not as exposed, if you don’t want to be, you can write about things that are on your mind and they can be anonymous if you want them to be. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog, mainly just to talk about things that are on my mind or things that I am passionate about. I hope you all find that person you can trust.

Do you have someone you can really trust and talk to? If not, Are they there, standing right infront of you but you don’t realise it? How do you know who to trust?

I would love to hear answers to those questions from you guys, and your thoughts about trust.

Dreaming In Summer ♥

My First Post

Hey Guys,

I am a lifestyle blogger. I started this blog to express my feelings and thoughts about life and everything in between. The reason behind my name, Dreaming In Summer is, my favourite season is summer, and I like to dream, a lot, I just think it’s wonderful, how you can dream, about virtually anything. Dreams are like second chances, when you dream, you are in control, you can say things you’ve always wanted to say, you can act how you’ve always wanted to, but you never really know its a dream ’till you wake up. Summer is my favourite season because it makes me happy. For me, being happy doesn’t always come easy, so when I feel that emotion I appreciate it so much more.. My aim for this blog is not fame, or to earn money, but my aim is to write about things I feel passionate about or just life in general and for people to be able to relate. I hope you enjoy my blog, and I hope you can relate to it.

Peace Out x
